The Last Seven Words of Christ on the Cross

Today as I carried the Cross during the Stations of the Cross around my Parish, it was a spiritual experience. My mind went back to the those times and I remembered Christ's last words on the Cross:

'Father, forgive them, for they have not known what they do;' (Luke 23:34)

'Verily I say to thee, To-day with me thou shalt be in the paradise.(Luke 23:43)

Jesus, therefore, having seen his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he was loving, he saith to his mother, 'Woman, behold, thy son; afterward he saith to the disciple, 'Behold, thy mother;' and from that hour the disciple took her to his own home.(John 19:26-27)

and about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a great voice, saying, 'Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?' that is, 'My God, my God, why didst Thou forsake me?' (Matthew 27:46, Mark 15:34)

I thirst. (John 19:28)

It is finished! (John 19:30)

'Father, to Thy hands I commit my spirit;'  and these things having said, he breathed forth the spirit. (Luke 23:46)
