God's Boxes

God's Boxes

I have in my hands two boxes,
Which God gave me to hold.
He said, 'Put all your sorrows in the black box,
And all your joys in the gold.'

Description: mailbox:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Frances/Application%20Data/Thunderbird/Profiles/cmq90v0t.default/Mail/pop.mail.yahoo.com/Inbox?number=577782986&part=1.5&filename=mime-attachment.gifDescription: mailbox:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/Frances/Application%20Data/Thunderbird/Profiles/cmq90v0t.default/Mail/pop.mail.yahoo.com/Inbox?number=577782986&part=1.6&filename=mime-attachment.gif
I heeded His words, and in the two boxes,
Both my joys and sorrows I stored,
But though the gold became heavier each day,
The black was as light as before.

With curiosity, I opened the black,
I wanted to find out why,
And I saw, in the base of the box, a hole,
Which my sorrows had fallen out by.

I showed the hole to God, and mused,
'I wonder where my sorrows could be!'
He smiled a gentle smile and said,
'My child, they're all here with me..'

' WAQT NAHI '

' WAQT NAHI '

Har khushi Hai Logon Ke Daman Mein,
Par Ek Hansi Ke Liye Waqt Nahi.
Din Raat Daudti Duniya Mein,
Zindagi Ke Liye Hi Waqt Nahi.

Maa Ki Loree Ka Ehsaas To Hai,
Par Maa Ko Maa Kehne Ka Waqt Nahi.
Saare Rishton Ko To Hum Maar Chuke,
Ab Unhe Dafnane Ka Bhi Waqt Nahi.

Saare Naam Mobile Mein Hain,
Par Dosti Ke Lye Waqt Nahi.
Gairon Ki Kya Baat Karen,
Jab Apno Ke Liye Hi Waqt Nahi.

Aankhon Me Hai Neend Badee,
Par Sone Ka Waqt Nahi.
Dil Hai Ghamon Se Bhara Hua,
Par Rone Ka Bhi Waqt Nahi .

Paison ki Daud Me Aise Daude,
Ki Thakne ka Bhi Waqt Nahi.
Paraye Ehsason Ki Kya Kadr Karein,
Jab Apane Sapno Ke Liye Hi Waqt Nahi.

Tu Hi Bata E Zindagi,
Iss Zindagi Ka Kya Hoga,
Ki Har Pal Marne Walon Ko,
Jeene Ke Liye Bhi Waqt Nahi........ .

God's Rosebud..a beautiful poem

God's Rosebud

A new minister was walking with an older, more seasoned minister in the garden one day.

Feeling a bit insecure about what God had for him to do, he was asking the older preacher for some advice.

The older preacher walked up to a rosebush and handed the young preacher a rosebud and told him to open it without tearing off any petals.

The young preacher looked in disbelief at the older preacher and was trying to figure out what a rosebud could possibly have to do with his wanting to know the will of God for his life and ministry.

But because of his great respect for the older preacher, he proceeded to try to unfold the rose, while keeping every petal intact.

It wasn't long before he realized how impossible this was to do.

Noticing the younger preacher's inability to unfold the rosebud without tearing it, the older preacher began to recite the following poem...

"It is only a tiny rosebud,
A flower of God's design;
But I cannot unfold the petals
With these clumsy hands of mine."

"The secret of unfolding flowers
Is not known to such as I.
GOD opens this flower so easily,
But in my hands they die."

"If I cannot unfold a rosebud,
This flower of God's design,
Then how can I have the wisdom
To unfold this life of mine?"

"So I'll trust in God for leading
Each moment of my day.
I will look to God for guidance
In each step along the way."

"The path that lies before me,
Only my Lord and Savior knows.
I'll trust God to unfold the moments,
Just as He unfolds the rose."

My Internet Wife

So here I sit, in all my glory...
Lend me an ear, and I'll tell ya a story...
internetwife-2.gif (6717 bytes)
I once had a wife--she was such a dear,
Then came the Net, and it all disappeared!

internetwife-anim8.gif (6575 bytes) internetwife-anim9.gif (19185 bytes) internetwife-anim7.gif (6574 bytes)
internetwife-anim6.gif (6352 bytes)
Now there she sits, for hours on end...
Don't care where I'm goin', don't care where I've been.
internetwife-4.gif (6436 bytes)
It could be three, or it could be nine...
she really doesn't care, long as she's online.

internetwife-anim8.gif (6575 bytes) internetwife-anim9.gif (19185 bytes) internetwife-anim7.gif (6574 bytes)
internetwife-anim6.gif (6352 bytes)
She gets outta work and rushes home,
She comes in yelling at me, "Get off the phone!"
internetwife-5.gif (7135 bytes)
Where is the hug? Where is my kiss?
But she's at the computer--that's all she missed!
internetwife-anim5.gif (7552 bytes)

internetwife-anim6.gif (6352 bytes)
Talking to cyber friends, checking the mail
I might as well be in a Cyber Jail!
internetwife-1.gif (4418 bytes)
My stomach's growling--it's so unfair!
No clean dishes and no clean underwear!
internetwife-anim5.gif (7552 bytes)
internetwife-anim8.gif (6575 bytes) internetwife-anim9.gif (19185 bytes) internetwife-anim7.gif (6574 bytes)
internetwife-anim6.gif (6352 bytes)
Drink me a beer, stare at the walls
I'll pick at my teeth and roam the halls,
internetwife-6.gif (6078 bytes)
Farting and burping what a sight to see...
Can you believe she's there??

When she could be with ME!

Lost Grandma!

Lost Grandma!

THE COMPUTER SWALLOWED GRANDMA
The computer swallowed grandma.
Yes, honestly its true!
She pressed 'control' and 'enter'
And disappeared from view.
It devoured her completely,

The thought just makes me squirm.
She must have caught a virus
Or been eaten by a worm.
I've searched through the recycle bin
And files of every kind;
I've even used the Internet,
But nothing did I find.
In desperation, I asked Google
My searches to refine.
The reply from him was negative,
Not a thing was found 'online.'
So, if inside your 'In-box,'
My Grandma you should see,
Please 'Copy,''Scan' and 'Paste' her
And send her back to me.

This is a tribute to all the Grandmas who have been fearless and learned to use the Computer........
They are the greatest!!!

We do not stop playing because we grow old;
We grow old because we stop playing
NEVER Be The First To Get Old!
Carry on.....

Seven Days

If I had seven days to live
and you'd ask me what I'd do
I'd spend my first six day with God
and my last day with you

On the first day I'd ask the Lord above
to take care of the one I love
'cause there's no one else I'd rather have
than you my one and only love

I'd pray the second day
to take away your fears
'cause it would only break my heart
to see my love in tears

The third day is for thanksgiving
for the blessings we received
he had blessed me when I met you
the best gift I received

On the fourth day I'd be asking him
to forgive me for all my sins
and if I may I'd beg him please
for another chance to live

A prayer for preparation
would be on the fifth day
that he may take me to heaven
and not the other way

A prayer for mankind
is for the sixth day
that they may soon find peace in their hearts
and would soon reunite

I blessed the seventh day
'cause I passed my time with you
that before I leave this world
you'll know how much I Love You...

Sad Love Poems

Falling In And Out Of Love

When I say I love you I do,
But this with you will not do,
I need someone I can lean on,
Someone I can count on too.

Yes you are there sometimes,
For that I am grateful to you,
But I need someone there full time,
And that you cannot do.

You told me once you loved me,
That I could believe in you,
I was there when you needed someone,
Where were you when I needed someone, too?

The time has come for me to let go,
Never to expect you to care again,
People may come and people may go,
But my love will never end.
**

Touch Yourself

I understand the why,
Yet I cannot grasp the how;
But if this is the way you must handle us,
I will try to understand somehow.

There is one thing that I ask,
As you walk away;
Please create a corner in your heart for me,
So at least, there, I can always stay.

You will always be my love,
That will never change;
Though we are going separate ways,
That fact remains the same.

I know we must let each other go,
Circumstances force us to set each other free;
But today, I give back to you . . . your words -
Touch Yourself and You Touch Me.

My Last Days

When my life has reached it's very end,
And I take that final breath
I want to know I've left behind
Some "good" before my death.

I hope that in my final hour
In all honesty I can say;
That somewhere in my lifetime,
I have brightened someone's day.

That maybe I have brought a smile
To someone else's face..
And made one moment sweeter
While they dwelled here in this place.

Lord, please be my reminder
And whisper softly in my ear
To be a "giver"... not a "taker"
In the years I have left here.

Give to me the strength I need
Open up my mind, my soul
That I might show compassion
And love to others before I go.

For if not a heart be touched by me,
And not a smile was left behind,
Then the life that I am blessed with
Will have been a waste of time.

With all my heart, I truly hope
To leave something here on earth...
That touched another, made them smile
And gave my prayer some worth.

Why English is so difficult?

Why English Is So Difficult

We'll begin with a box, and the plural is boxes;
But the plural of ox became oxen not oxes.
One fowl is a goose, but two are called geese,
Yet the plural of moose should never be meese.
You may find a lone mouse or a nest full of mice;
Yet the plural of house is houses, not hice.
If the plural of man is always called men,
Why shouldn't the plural of pan be called pen?
If I spoke of my foot and show you my feet,
And I give you a boot, would a pair be called beet?
If one is a tooth and a whole set are teeth,
Why shouldn't the plural of booth be called beeth?
Then one may be that, and three would be those,
Yet hat in the plural would never be hose,
And the plural of cat is cats, not cose.
We speak of a brother and also of brethren,
But though we say mother we never say methren.
Then the masculine pronouns are he, his and him,
But imagine the feminine, she, shis and shim.

My first poem

I was fascinated by the world of poets in my school days. I decided that if they could write poetry, why not I. So one fine morning on a school holiday, I sat down and began building up words and its rhyme's, but I made little headway. I tried the next holiday and the next but to no avail until one fine day someone came and told me they required articles and poems for a magazine. I made up my mind, no matter what, I will participate and decided to select an animal as my subject.. After much racking of my brains I could not come up with anything worthwile. Not wanting to let go of this chance, I sneakily copied it from one magazine and send it. It was the first time which became my last time, I ever did that. From that day on, I decided, never ever send someone else poem again and till date I have stuck to that. This poem so proudly sent by me was rejected right away by the magazine editor (and rightly so) with a reprimanding letter.

The poem went like this:

"Dum Dum Dum
The Tiger is come
Put some Rum
In the Tiger's bum".
Heh..heh...heh..enjoy

Ballad on Sorpotel

Ballad on Sorpotel

And as I am so thoughtful,
I'll do you guys a favour,
Though you won't get a mouthful,
I'll try to catch the flavour.

It's made of many piggy parts,
Heart, fat and liver,
Vinegar that smells like farts,
(Looks like water from the river).

The meat is chopped in little bits,
After being on the boil.
Forty chillies to give you the sh*ts,
And half a gallon of oil.

And all the grand ol' aunties,
Will insist, you'll see,
On half a pint of piggy blood,
For the right consistency.

Oh! Why are you gagging?
Why do you look so pale?
Did you hear granny bragging?
"It's better when it's stale!"

It's delicious and it's really HOT
We eat on 25th December,
On boxing day sit on the pot,
And boy! Do we remember!

So grab your rope my dearest friends,
Draw some water from your well.
You'll need plenty of it at both your ends,
When you experience SORPOTEL! :)
